The First Response Pregnancy Test is a very good product to choose when you are a mother who is just dying for your pregnancy to turn positive, and the sooner you can find out if you are pregnant or not, the sooner you can get started planning for the new bundle of joy! First Response has done a great job with helping possible “soon-to-be” mothers learn, quite early, if they are going to be expecting or if they will need to try again.
The First Response Pregnancy Test claims that it can detect your pregnancy 5 days or sooner than the day of your missed period. Before you think that you are going to find out if you are pregnant 5 days before your missed period you must remember the statistics that First Response uses in concluding their study. First Response Pregnancy Test detected the hormone levels in 69% of the women who use the pregnancy test 4 days before their expected period. It detected 83% of the pregnancy hormone levels 3 days before their period, and for 1 to 2 days before your period it boasts a 93% detection if you use their pregnancy test.
Now, this is actually VERY GOOD results for a pregnancy test, but like all pregnancy test products, they are not 100% accurate on predicting pregnancy days before your missed period. There are of course human errors when administrating the test as well as just product errors that may cause false positives or negatives. Also, as you all have probably figured out, your body is pretty unique when it comes to anything that is health related, so obviously some pregnancy tests may not work so cleanly as others.
There have also been some complaints on a “faint line” being seen that leave women wondering if it is, in fact, a positive or a negative. However, I would say at an above average rate, most women are satisfied with their First Response Early Result Pregnancy Test results. They find the test clean, simple and easy to read, which is all you can really ask for in a pregnancy test (besides an accurate reading!) Besides the more expensive cost I would highly recommend this pregnancy test to anyone searching for answers as soon as possible!
Pros: Easy to use, easy to read, fast results, expiration date on box
Cons: Expensive, doesn’t work early for everyone; could produce faint lines that seem like its positive when its not.
